It always makes me laugh when Adobe claims they have upgraded the Photoshop user interface with the new version, which will result in yet another few thousand youTube videos trying to explain how to use it. One shouldn't have to learn or master it. Once you master the Qimage Ultimate interphase I don't think there is anything out there that offers as much for the small price. Printing from Aperture or Lightroom is a dream compared to printing from Photoshop, but only because Photoshop is so bad in that regard. That is a lot to pay for a user interface and basically things that should be in Lightroom and Aperture if Adobe and Apple were to actually do something right for a change. QImage’s interface isn’t good, but it is useable.
€300 for the 17 inch version and €500 for the 44 inch version. It doesn’t mention rescaling and earlier versions relied totally on the printer driver for uprezing images I presume that hasn’t changed. It is expensive for what it is and what it isn’t. Its very intuitive and has the most user friendly interface I have seen. I just bought a version for my Epson R3000 last night - I have been using Mirage up to now. I just joined the site because I saw this post and wanted to add m2c: I have used the scanning software which is quite good, but their customer support is really lacking. Have to say I am somewhat leery of the software support of LaserSoft. In the past, Qimage was that app when I ran on the Microsoft platform, but I have abandoned any interest in running Windows virtually just for one app on my Mac. Thought maybe it may have been released to our friends in Europe earlier and thus, some folks have tried it.Īlthough I'm relatively satisfied with printing out of Aperture, I'm always on the lookout for an app that can improve printing. Being rather new, there are no reviews I have found on the software just yet. LaserSoft recently release a print app called PrinTao for Epson wide format printers.
